The glass plate serves as a carrier plate, for example for the self-adhesive sanding film 3M Microfinishing.
Sandpaper without an adhesive backing can be fixed with a glue stick.
The large rubber feet give the plate a secure hold on the surface even with strong horizontal pulling movements.
